At Least We'd Have Today

I took a moment out of my uhh... life and said, "Okay Ashley now it's your time. You have a few minutes to draw. You can draw W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R you want." And out of all the possible things I could have drawn I kicked it off with a somber, older looking Scorch. Kind of a depiction of how I feel at the end of today (All contents of and at this point in my 26 years of living). Strangely enough I just happened to be listening to At Least We'll Have Today by Estradasphere, also a somber tone. So I hand wrote the lyrics like some kind of psychotic love letter to no one. A message in a bottle for me to look back on and go, OH YEAH... all the crazy shit going on in my head at that time." Here it is folks! If I die of a blood clot in my sleep this is my million dollar masterpiece at the peak of my career!

We used to call these "Angries"

I was looking for the 1st Chapter of Reign of Adeodatus to refresh my memory once someone asked me for updates. I only found my first introductory panels to the editors. I thought, man o' man I wish I could get away with drawing a war epic like this, haha. Yet these fast paced little squares were at one point my only way of visually communicating to writers what I was trying to do storywise.

Where does the time go?

I've made some drastic life changes in this last year. It would seem like I've had to catch up on seven years I've ignored and my how fast I've been able to do it. But I have noticed not only is my life speedily changing I feel like the older I get the faster I work with little error. ULGH FINALLY!!
